A 1975 BBC television sitcom, Fawlty Towers revolves around Basil Fawlty, who is a rude, arrogant, and short-tempered manager of a the eponymous fictional hotel. Fawlty hates his job and has an extremely low tolerance for demanding guests and businessmen. He lives with his verbally and sometimes physically abusive wife, Sybil, and finds himself unable to deal with his English-challenged Spanish waiter Manuel, who has an IQ like that of a donkey. The only voice of reason appears to be Polly, the chambermaid. The misadventures of Fawlty and the brigade are interesting incorporated in the farcical plotline, which makes this show an interesting watch.
